THIS WAS A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR FRED WALECKI AND FAMILY. FRED HAD BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH THROAT CANCER AND WITH MOUNTING BILLS IT WAS AS  PATTI DAVIS WROTE FOR THE LA TIMES "PAYBACK TIME FOR A BELOVED GUITAR MAN". FRED THE OWNER OF A MUSIC STORE IN SO CAL SOLD GUITARS TO SOME OF THE MOST WELL KNOWN NAMES IN MUSIC AND HAS BEEN ENTRUSTED WITH THE REPAIR OF VALUABLE  AND BELOVED INSTRUMENTS. THE STORE WAS A PLACE WERE MUSICIANS COULD RELAX AND EXCHANGE IDEAS IN A WARM SUPPORTIVE ATMOSPHERE.
THIS CONCERT WAS ORGANIZED BY EAGLES CO-FOUNDER BERNIE LEADON AND GLYN JONES THE LEGENDARY PRODUCER WHO HAS WORKED WITH THE BEATLES, ERIC CLAPTON, THE EAGLES, AND THE ROLLING STONES TO HELP PAY FRED'S MOUNTING MEDICAL BILLS.
"THEY" WERE BONNIE RAITT, EMMYLOU HARRIS, LINDA RONSTADT, JACKSON BROWNE, DAVID CROSBY, GRAHAM NASH, WARREN ZEVON, CHRIS HILLMAN, RANDY MEISNER, RY COODER, DON HENLEY, SPINAL TAP, AND MORE.
THE TWO DAY CONCERT WAS HELD AUGUST 8TH AND 9TH 2000 AT THE SANTA MONICA CIVIC AUDITORIUM.
THIS AUTHENTIC LAMINATED PASS MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2" X 4 1/4". WITH VERY MINOR SURFACE WEAR. THE PASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
